An Opportunity to Listen, to Learn, and to Grow

In less than 24 hours, our eleven-person Zambia team will be sitting in the Atlanta airport preparing to board our flight to Johannesburg, South Africa.  It will be the longest leg of our journey.  From there, we will fly to Lusaka, the Zambian capital.  Based on the e-mails being exchanged by team members this week, it appears all of us are excited to meet with our Christian brothers and sisters in Zambia.

I'm viewing this visit as an opportunity to listen, to learn, and to grow.  I suspect everyone on the team shares this perspective.  Having been to Zambia in November of 2008, many of us are looking forward to rekindling friendships and discovering what God has in store for us as we work with our partners, Jubilee Centre and World Vision.  We want to bring words of hope and encouragement to our fellow Christ followers and to experience their daily lives firsthand.  More importantly, we want to observe and learn from their unwavering faith and how it is revealed in their acts of selfless service.

We surely desire the prayers of our CPC friends!  Thank you for remembering us as we go as your representatives to a wonderful country and a remarkable people.
